Bottoms Up for Arizona Cocktail & Beer Week

From February 17-24, the entire state of Arizona will be honoring the craft of the cocktail and brews. Mixologists, brewmeisters, and spirit guides from across the country will gather to create everything from subtle infusions and bizarre tinctures to crafty mixed and malty libations.
Kick off the week on February 18 with a Boilermaker Dinner at Lon’s at the Hermosa. Spirit Guide Travis Nass, Executive Chef Jeremy Pacheco and the Lon’s culinary team will present a multi-course dinner paired with spirits and beer, culminating with the creation of an Arizona-made boilermaker from CaskWerks Distilling Co. and The Shop Beer Co.
Scottsdale participants and their creations include the “Zonie Land” from Counter Intuitive, the “Jalisco Bramble” from Hand Cut, and the “ZuZu Sassafras” or the “Zuzu Sassafras Float” from Hotel Valley Ho. The Clever Koi in nearby Gilbert has concocted the “Jailbird,” and the Brickyard in downtown Chandler is offering “Tang Back the Night.”
