For the lover of all things pork–in this whole hog butchery class, LON’s chefs will break down a whole hog and describe the differences of cuts, where they come from, how to use them, and discuss recipes exemplifying the age old craft of butchery.  As one of the oldest cooking techniques, this class will cover everything from grilling and smoking to curing, charcuterie and salumi.

In keeping with the Inn’s artistic origins, and with the installment of a $2 million art exhibit from Figarelli Fine Art, the Hermosa Inn Art Walks are Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 11 am. Scheduled tours available seasonally October-April. Off season tours will be given upon request.  A 24 hour notice is required.

From original works by cowboy artist and original owner Alonzo “Lon” Megargee, to the flora and fauna throughout the property and paintings and sculptures by some of the most prominent contemporary Southwestern artists, guests and Valley residents alike are invited to embark on a 45-minute tour led by the Inn’s “Artful Ambassador” that will explore its rich history, horticulture and artwork.
